To be brief, here’s an overview:Applied for a high paying job for video editing on an official job website.
IT PRINTED!Īll I can figure out is that somehow selecting the option to have Acrobat Pro 9 install the option for allowing other applications to create a PDF repaired something within the Mac operating system. I then decided I would uninstall Acrobat Pro X, but on a whim decided to try to print the same PDF file that had just printed using Acrobat Pro 9 one more time. Once Acrobat Pro 9 had started I tested it using one of the PDF files that had failed to print with the dreaded "No pages selected." error messages. However, instead of uninstalling Acrobat Pro X first, I left it installed.ĭuring the initial startup of Acrobat 9 after installation I was offered the option of installing an Extra feature called Adobe PDF Printer which allows me to "Create Adobe PDF files from any application by printing to Adobe PDF Printer". I decided to follow one suggestion to install Acrobat Pro 9. I have been to every so-called solution that I could find via a Google search and NONE of these "solutions" even by the self-tagged "experts" work. This problem started for me just this last weekend. Thank you!įirst let me state that this is my solution on a Macintosh running 10.7.5 and Acrobat Pro X (with all the latest updates). This explains why the PDF can print from Chrome. "Adobe Reader has occasionally stated that "The documented could not be printed" when someone would try to print certain PDF's.
There maybe specific printer driver issues on your system which may require you to troubleshoot the drivers with the printer manufacturer." This error could also be caused by damaged Acrobat preferences or outdated/corrupt printer drivers. Choosing Print As Image bypasses that rendering operation by sending the printer a rasterized image of the document. In the resulting Advanced Print Setup dialog box, select Print As Image and click OK.Īdobe has stated that the cause of this is, "In some instances, a PDF file can contain damaged content such as images or fonts that cannot be rendered by Acrobat during the printing process, causing this error to occur. To bypass this:ģ.Ĝlick Advanced at the bottom of the Print dialog box.Ĥ. " Adobe Reader has occasionally stated that "The documented could not be printed" when someone would try to print certain PDF's. This is a workaround and I'd still like to hear from Adobe if you can scan to a pdf, then why can't you print that resulting pdf.Įverything I've read on Adobe's site claims the issue is fixed with Adobe Reader XI, so I upgraded to that version and still get the errors.
Using Acrobat (you can't do this with Reader), I exported page 3 as a tiff then used Acrobat to create a new pdf inserting pages 1 and 2 from the original combined with the exported tiff. I also found that as I scrolled with the mouse slowly through the document page by page the first error appeared as soon as I scrolled to the very top of page 3. I then tried to print one page at a time and found page 3 would not print, pages 1 and 2 both printed with no errors. I received a 3 page pdf that gave me 3 errors when I tried to print it, regardless of which version of Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat I used to open it. I've seen this problem recently but if googled you can see it has been occurring as far back as 2008. How I got around it in our place is I copied and pasted (3 whole pages) the entire document into a MS word doc. You do have to print it as an image as some others have suggested.
I have seen this before in a corrupted PDF.
Other users using Windows 7 and Adobe acrobat X are able to print the same PDF files to the same Plotter. The system is a Lenovo T420s with Windows 7 Pro 圆4 SP1 installed. However, if "Spool on Printer" is selected the document gets sent to the plotter, but the plotter displays an out of memory error.Īny advice? I've tried using Adobe reader, as well as FoxIt reader and both have the same issue. We've set all the options in the print properties, dimensions of paper, print color as grayscale, and spool on the computer.Įrror "The document could not be printed" Followed by "There were no pages selected to print" Printing 24x36 on an HP DesignJet 1050C Plotter. I have even tried completely wiping the program from the system and reinstalling. We are trying to print a PDF from Adobe Acrobat X, applied the latest updates.
